WHO WE ARE

Valhalla Private Capital, a full-service corporate finance firm, started with a single city angel investor group, Valhalla Angels, in 2003 and has grown organically to meet the entire lifecycle needs of both businesses and investors across the globe. The Valhalla mission is all about inviting all people who care about their local business climate into the private capital ecosystem, giving them the tools and opportunities to participate successfully in both investing or building some great companies. At Valhalla, we believe a more sophisticated approach exists through our full suite of capital options coupled with education, training and advisory services operating under a five-pillar business model; Investor & Startup Programs, Angel Investing, Global Accelerator, Private Equity & Debt Fund and M& A visory Services. Valhalla has brought training and education to over 1200 founders and angel investors in over 15 countries. We have brought founders and investors together for a total of 252 deals and $70 million of investments within our angel group, one of the most active groups in Western Canada. In addition, Valhalla Private Capital's family of funds is comprised of a variety of debt and equity funds developed to match the interests of investors with the needs of early-stage ventures.

Experience in management includes; Vice President, President, CEO and Director positions for private companies. Consistently producing meaningful results through leadership, team assembly with a dedication to pursuing profitable business opportunities and relationships. Extensive experience in building, turning around, and operating companies. Proven history of increasing productivity, revenues and turning around difficult situations. Specializing in corporate development and strategic planning with the vision to achieve specific corporate goals. Successful at leveraging career experience to enhance organizational productivity and efficiency by effectively directing and supporting operations, services and solutions.

Ryan Heit

I have a background in biotech, start-ups, and private investing. I am the co-founder of: Pacylex Pharmaceuticals, a pre-clinical oncology drug development company; Valhalla Private Capital, an investor-led private capital group; and Prairie Noodle Shop, one of Edmonton’s most talked about new(ish) restaurants. I currently spend most of my time as the Director of the Merck Invention Accelerator, a program helping early-stage human and animal health therapeutic companies to reach their next milestones through access to expertise and resources. I also help coach and screen companies as they prepare to pitch for private capital in the Valhalla Angels forums held monthly in Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna, and Vancouver.
