Sewu-Steve Tawia is an investment and development professional with over 20 years of professional experience in development finance, consulting, angel investing and venture capital funds and fund of funds in Europe and Africa. He is currently fund manager at Jaza Rift Ventures, healthtech, medtech and biotech VC fund launched in partnership with Villgro Africa. He’s also an experience investor in agribusiness and renewable energy across Africa and a prolific angel investor at Accra Angels and Asime Ventures, with a track record across the continent in fintech, healthtech, ecommerce, retailtech, renewable energy and edtech. A fully English-French bilingual, he is a strong advocate of gender equity and women economic empowerment. Sewu-Steve is an alumnus of London Business School (UK), Audencia Business School (France), and has an executive leadership certificate in social entrepreneurship (EPSE) from Stanford GSB (USA). He also holds a number of professional charters: CAIA (alternative investments), CIFE (Islamic Finance), CGIA (finance), CDFP (digital finance/fintech), Prince 2 (project management) and Toastmaster (public speaking) while being an innovation geek, JKA Karate (3rd Dan) and Kizomba instructor.
