Who we are

Valhalla Private Capital, a full-service corporate finance firm, started with a single city angel investor group, Valhalla Angels, in 2003 and has grown organically to meet the entire lifecycle needs of both businesses and investors across the globe. The Valhalla mission is all about inviting all people who care about their local business climate into the private capital ecosystem, giving them the tools and opportunities to participate successfully in both
investing or building some great companies. At Valhalla, we believe a more sophisticated approach exists through our full suite of capital options coupled with education, training and advisory services operating under a five-pillar business model; Investor & Startup Programs, Angel Investing, Global Accelerator, Private Equity & Debt Fund and M&A Advisory Services. Valhalla has brought training and education to over 1200 founders and angel investors in over 15 countries. We have brought founders and investors together for a total of 252 deals and $70 million of investments within our angel group, one of the most active groups in Western Canada. In addition, Valhalla Private Capital's family of funds consists of a variety of debt and equity funds developed to match the interests of investors with the needs of early-stage ventures.

TBDF Ventures LLC (TBDFV), the organizer of Beyond The Billion (BTB), is a company serving the global consortium of investors pledged to invest beyond $1bn collectively into women-founded technology companies and funds and firms that invest in them. BTB builds on the success of The Billion Dollar Fund for Women, the initial campaign co-founded by our founders. BTB is not a venture fund, an investment bank, a broker-dealer, investment clearinghouse, or an investment adviser, but rather a forum in which investors may be educated on aspects of investment and business, as well as introduced to companies for possible investment, in particular, those led by women. Each investor and allocator pledged to BTB’s mission is responsible for his or her own investment decisions, and neither TBDFV nor BTB recommends companies or financial products for investment. Participating funds may be highlighted to various institutional and other investors and managers, with the aim of catalyzing capital towards women-founded companies; but are not guaranteed allocations from any specific fund.
