Jocelyn Cortez-Young

Jocelyn Cortez-Young is the CEO of Minerva Capital. She focuses on investing in companies that are developing innovative and sustainable solutions that promote progressive labor practices and environmental standards while generating strong investment returns. Previously, she served as a senior head of Capital Markets at the Citigroup Private Bank in Latin America, responsible for directing capital market investments for a US$6bn U.S. investment portfolio for ultra-high net worth individuals. Prior, Cortez-Young held the position of Equity Derivatives trader at Credit Suisse First Boston, where she was responsible for U.S. and Latin America emerging markets single stock derivative execution. She started her career as an International Equity analyst at Goldman Sachs where she implemented, developed, and executed the trading and operational infrastructure for the firm’s Brazilian and Mexican operations. She is the current chairman of the Board for the Miami Chapter of 85 Broads and sits on the board of all Minerva Capital Group’s portfolio companies. Cortez-Young holds a BS from New York University, Stern School of Business, an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, and an Executive Education Certification from the Harvard Kennedy School of Public Policy.
