Karmijn Kapitaal was founded by DŽsirŽe van Boxtel, Hadewych Cels en Cilian Jansen Verplanke. We share our enthusiasm for entrepreneurs and our extensive background in investing and entrepreneurship. In 2010 we saw the opportunity for an investment fund that focusses on companies managed by both women and men.

She has managed private equity investments for 7 years both for ABN AMRO and for informal investors. During the last 9 years before Karmijn she has also been an entrepreneur, a.o. built her own company and sold it successfully.

TBDF Ventures LLC (TBDFV), the organizer of Beyond The Billion (BTB), is a company serving the global consortium of investors pledged to invest beyond $1bn collectively into women-founded technology companies and funds and firms that invest in them. BTB builds on the success of The Billion Dollar Fund for Women, the initial campaign co-founded by our founders.
