Why are we taking the Beyond The Billion Pledge?

Rampersand are strong advocates for underrepresented founders and are committed to increasing the capital which flows towards female founders. We have a track record of successfully investing in female founders, with our first portfolio company sale coming from a female founder. Through Funds 2 and 3 we have invested in an average of 40% of dollars in startups with at least one female founder. Annually we run a Giant Warm Intro event which connects 150+ investors and 300+ Founders each year. The event is designed to lower the barrier, not the bar for underrepresented founders to meet investors where they may not necessarily have a network to do so – 36% of Founders who participate identify as female and we have already heard numerous stories of how this has lead to female founders finding their first round of capital! We want to continue supporting women and underrepresented founders raise capital – at scale!
